Adshel occupational health and safety (OHS) is an integral part of our organisation. We are committed to providing
and maintaining a safe working environment for the health, safety and welfare of our staff, contractors, visitors and
members of the public who may be affected by our work.
We are committed to improving our OHS performance by reference to the following objectives:
Complying with the relevant OHS legislation and any relevant Standards or Codes of Practice, so far as is
reasonably practicable to do so.
Adopting a pro-active risk management approach to OHS through the identification of hazards, risk
assessment and elimination or control of those hazards.
Providing and maintaining operations, premises, plant and substances which are safe and without risks to
health.
Promoting a safe and healthy work environment for people at work that protects them from injury and
illness.
Facilitating consultation and co-operation between management, employees and contractors in achieving
these objectives.
Providing such information, instruction, training and supervision as may be necessary to ensure our own
employees’ health and safety at work.
Providing and maintaining safe systems of work.
Providing adequate information and induction on safety to our employees, contractors and visitors, to
ensure their safety.
Establishing measurable objectives and targets to ensure continued improvement aimed at elimination of
work-related injury and illness.
We will make our Policy available to any interested parties and will review our Policy annually to ensure it remains
relevant and appropriate to our organisation.
